Wall Decal Safety

WALL DECAL SAFETY
Our wall decals are designed to bring colour and personality to your home. Like all decorative products, they must be installed and used correctly—particularly in rooms used by babies and young children. Please read this safety information before installing your decals and keep it available for future reference.

DECALS ARE NOT TOYS
Wall decals are decorative products and are not toys. They can be peeled from the wall, and some designs contain small individual pieces that may present a choking hazard.
• Adult installation and supervision are required.
• Not suitable for children aged three years and under.
• Keep unused decals, backing liners and packaging away from children.
• Regularly check that every piece remains securely attached.

SAFE PLACEMENT
Do not install wall decals above or within easy reach of a cot, bassinet, change table or child’s bed. Choose a position where children cannot pull, peel or play with the decals. Consider how high your child may be able to reach when standing on a mattress, furniture or toys—not only from the floor. Do not place decals where a detached piece could fall into a sleeping area.

CHECK YOUR DECALS REGULARLY
Inspect decals periodically, particularly when installed in a child’s room. Remove and safely store any decal that: Has started lifting from the wall.
• Has become torn or damaged.
• Is no longer adhering securely.
• Has been removed or handled by a child
• Do not leave a loose decal within a child’s reach.

HEAT, SUNLIGHT AND MOISTURE
Keep decals away from open flames, heaters and other direct heat sources. Prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight may affect adhesion and may influence how the decal or underlying surface behaves during removal. The fabric is moderately water-resistant, but it is not waterproof. Avoid applying decals in persistently damp or humid areas or where they will be regularly exposed to water.

FIRE SAFETY
The HP adhesive fabric carries B1 and ASTM E84 flame-resistance certifications. However, flame-resistant does not mean fireproof. Never use a wall decal as a protective covering around a heat source. Keep wall decals away from:
• Open flames and candles
• Fireplaces
• Cooktops
• Portable heaters
• Hot light fittings
• Other ignition or high-heat sources
MATERIALS
Our decals are printed on 180gsm HP Recycled Removable Adhesive Fabric using confirmed eco-conscious inks. The material is non-toxic, PVC-free and phthalate-free. It is also REACH compliant, and uses a PET base fabric made from 100% recycled resin sourced from recycled water bottles. Our decals have smooth, matte finish
and are  removable and repositionable on compatible surfaces. The complete HP material, including its liner, contains 72% recycled content by weight.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm that the selected surface and location are suitable for removable wall decals before installation. Please contact your paint manufacturer if required or download their Technical Data Sheet and check whether the paint is suitable for self-adhesive products. Please review all product, surface and installation information carefully. We recommend testing a small decal in an inconspicuous area for 72 hours to confirm that it adheres properly and can be removed cleanly.

While our peel-and-stick wall decals have been thoroughly tested and are designed for reliable installation, repositioning and removal, results can vary between unique surfaces. We cannot guarantee that every decal will remain completely intact during removal, that no adhesive residue will remain, or that the underlying paint or surface will not lift or become damaged. Adhesion and removal may be affected by the type, age and condition of the paint, the number of paint layers, surface preparation, primers, texture, moisture, heat, sunlight and other environmental conditions. In some circumstances, adhesive residue or paint damage may occur.

Heat and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may affect adhesion and could influence how the decal or underlying surface behaves during removal.

We print our decals using eco-friendly inks. They do not use chemicals that are harmful to the environment, making them suitable for decorating children’s spaces. Wall decals are designed for decorative purposes and are not toys - they can be removed by children. Some designs may contain small pieces that present a choking hazard, so adult installation and supervision are required. They are not suitable for children aged three years and under. For safety, do not place wall decals above or within easy reach of a cot, bassinet or child’s bed.
